Pig Day Out – coming 27.06.2026!

Pig Day Out is back at Little Ship Club

There are some days on the Straddie calendar that simply feel like Little Ship Club.

Relaxed. Local. Full of character. Set by the water, surrounded by familiar faces, visiting friends, families, laughter, cold drinks, good food and that unmistakable One Mile atmosphere.

Pig Day Out is one of those days — and it’s back.

On Saturday 27 June 2026, Little Ship Club will once again come alive for one of Straddie’s favourite community events: Pig Day Out.

Whether you’re a long-time member, a local supporter, a regular visitor, or someone who simply loves a great day by the bay, we’d love you to join us.

A proper Straddie day out

Pig Day Out is about more than the races.

It’s about bringing people together at the Club. It’s about families on the lawn, friends catching up over lunch, kids enjoying the day, visitors discovering the Club, and the community coming together for something fun, light-hearted and unmistakably Straddie.

Expect a lively waterfront atmosphere, plenty of laughs, and all the ingredients for a memorable day at One Mile.

What’s happening on the day

Join us for:

  • 5 live pig races
  • First race kicks off at 11:30am
  • Pig on the spit
  • Sausage sizzle and food available
  • Face painting for the kids
  • Cold drinks from the bar
  • Waterfront fun at the iconic Little Ship Club

From the first race to the final cheer, it will be a day full of energy, community spirit and classic island fun.

Perfect for members, families, friends and visitors

Pig Day Out is a fantastic reason to bring the family, invite friends, gather your crew and spend the day at the Club.

For our members and regular supporters, it’s a chance to enjoy the Club at its best — full of life, full of people and full of community. For visitors, it’s a perfect introduction to what makes Little Ship Club special: waterfront hospitality, a relaxed island setting and a warm local welcome.

And with kids under 18 free, it’s an easy family day out.

Come and be part of it

Little Ship Club has always been more than a venue.

It’s a place where people gather. A place for members, families, locals, visitors and friends. A place shaped by the water, the island and the people who keep coming back.

Born from the water, built for the people.

Pig Day Out is exactly the kind of day that brings that spirit to life.

We can’t wait to welcome you to the Club for a fun, relaxed and memorable day by the bay.

See you at Pig Day Out.
