Little Ship Club completes WHS and Governance Compliance Project with Redland City Council support

The Little Ship Club has successfully completed its WHS, Risk Management and Governance Compliance Project, supported by funding from Redland City Council’s Organisational Support Grant.

The project involved a comprehensive review of the Club’s workplace health and safety, risk management, and governance practices to ensure continued compliance with all relevant regulatory and safety standards. The assessment identified potential hazards, addressed compliance gaps, and strengthened systems to support safe and efficient operations.

As part of the project, the Club implemented clearer safety protocols and established a tailored Compliance Management System, providing a structured framework to manage compliance on an ongoing basis. This ensures the improvements delivered through the project are sustainable and embedded into day-to-day operations.

The completed work enhances the Club’s ability to safely host larger events, accommodate increased visitor numbers, and continue serving the community while supporting tourism on North Stradbroke Island.

The Little Ship Club thanks Redland City Council for its support through the Organisational Support Grant (OS 2425 2 010 – WHS, Risk Management & Governance Compliance Project), which has strengthened the Club’s foundations and capacity to deliver safe, community-focused activities into the future.
