Little Ship Club announces 2026 Arthur Mobsby Seafood Spectacular
Beloved summer fundraiser returns Saturday 17 January 2026, supporting Stage 2 pontoon upgrades
DUNWICH, North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) — 17 December 2025 — The Little Ship Club will welcome members, locals and visitors to its signature summer fundraiser, the Arthur Mobsby Seafood Spectacular, on Saturday 17 January 2026.
Held on the Club’s waterfront lawn at Dunwich, the event is a relaxed, family-friendly day celebrating community and the legacy of Arthur Mobsby, featuring fresh local seafood, live entertainment by the MJayz (12-5pm) and fundraising activities. Bluey’s Crab Racing crew will return to run the legendary Mud Crab Races — a crowd favourite at the Club.
Proceeds from the 2026 Seafood Spectacular will support Stage 2 of the Club’s pontoon upgrades, helping improve access and safety around the Club and on the water.
“Each year, the Seafood Spectacular brings our community together for one of the most enjoyable days on the Club calendar,” said Charles Ainsworth, Commodore of the Little Ship Club. “It’s a chance to share great local seafood, honour Arthur Mobsby’s contribution, and raise funds for improvements that benefit members and visiting boaters alike.”
Draft Menu
A draft menu for the 2026 Arthur Mobsby Seafood Spectacular is now available, giving attendees a taste of what’s on offer — including Straddie oysters, fresh trawler prawns, calamari, fresh fish, BBQ favourites, salads, chips and kids’ meals. A vegetarian option will also be added to the final menu.
Final dishes and pricing will be confirmed closer to the day, subject to supplier availability.

What’s new in 2026
- Mexican food truck onsite (in addition to Bistro + seafood favourites)
- Trawler prawns available with streamlined pick-up: purchase tickets at the Prawn & Oyster Tent, then collect prawns at the pontoon
- (Optional, if you want it included in media release tone): Bistro menu being finalised, including a vegetarian option

Table bookings open — and booking fast
To support catering and seating, attendees are asked to book a table with a $25 non-refundable deposit per table. The deposit is issued as a voucher to use at the Bistro and Prawn Bar on the day, helping reduce food waste, manage queues and keep service running smoothly.
Tables are limited and are booking quickly — early reservations are strongly recommended.
If plans change, guests are encouraged to notify the Club by Wednesday 14 January 2026 to arrange a voucher transfer for a future visit.
Volunteers invited
The Club is also seeking 10–15 volunteers to assist for a few hours across the day, with roles including bar support, raffles, set-up/pack-down and general event help. Volunteers will be provided with lunch and refreshments, a small bag of prawns to take home, and a $25 Club voucher to use on another day.
