Our signature summer fundraiser is back, and we’ve just had big news: Bluey’s Crab Racing crew is BACK! 🦀

Bluey’s crew will be returning to run the legendary Mud Crab Races, alongside a relaxed day of fresh local seafood, live entertainment and waterfront fun with family and friends, celebrating Arthur Mobsby’s contribution to our Club and boating community.

This year, the Spectacular will raise funds for Stage 2 of our pontoon upgrades around the Club and on the water, helping keep LSC a place we’re all proud of.

🦐 Prawns from the trawler (easy pick-up)

Prawns will be available direct from the trawler. Here’s how it works:

1. Buy your prawn tickets at the Prawn & Oyster Tent
2. Wander down to the pontoon to collect your prawns
   (Add a short note here if you want: “Prices to be confirmed closer to the day.”)

Want something a little different? We’ll have a Mexican food truck serving up delicious options on the day.

• Live music by the MJayz (12 noon to 5pm)

To help us plan catering and seating, we’re asking members and guests to book a table and pay a $25 non-refundable deposit per table.

• Your $25 deposit becomes a voucher to use at the Bistro and Prawn Bar on the day
• It helps reduce wasted seafood, manage queues, and keep service running smoothly
• Tables are limited — please book early to avoid missing out

Change of plans?

If your plans change, please let us know by Wednesday 14 January 2026 and we’ll happily transfer your voucher to another visit to the Club.

Volunteer crew (we’d love your help)

To make the day a success, we’re looking for 10–15 volunteers to help for a few hours. Roles may include:

• Can bar support
• Prawn bar support
• Raffles
• Loading bar fridges
• Returning plates/cutlery to the bistro
• Putting up/taking down marquees
• Collecting glasses
• General tidy-up and bins

We’ll look after our volunteers with lunch, refreshments and a small bag of prawns to take home, plus a $25 Club voucher to use on another day.

📌 Important Reminders

• LSC is a licensed club — no alcohol or eskies may be brought onto the premises when the Club is open
• Gates open from 10:30 am
• Please bring your receipt or booking confirmation to gain entry
• Members and guests with pre-paid vouchers are encouraged to arrive from 10:30 am for smooth check-in and seating

How to get here

Arrive by boat and tie up at our pontoons or moorings* (bookings essential), or travel over on the Stradbroke Flyer water taxi to Dunwich.

The 10:15 am Flyer arrives at the Club at around 10:45 am — perfect timing for gates opening. (See www.flyer.com.au)
