Proposed Carrington Boating Club Visit – Weekend of July 12 th -13th

Welcome Aboard,
To be part of this event all vessels must register onto the attached Carrington Boating Club register.
All vessels attending are to meet at Bulimba Point Reach (opposite Newstead). If you do arrive at the meeting point on the Friday evening, you are welcome to a Meet & Greet held at the home of the Breakfast Creek Boat Club Commodore John Stewart.

Saturday 12 Th July
Meet and prepare to leave Bulimba Point at 09:30 am to head up the Brisbane River to Carrington Boating Club travelling in Line Astern formation and travel speed determined by the slowest vessel. During this travel time you will be asked to be part of a trivia quiz with prizes given at Carrington during the afternoon. Upon arrival at Carrington Boating Club all boats are to pass the Clubhouse in Line Astern formation and once past the Carrington Rocks break off and find suitable anchoring sites within the river. Once securely anchored then all are encouraged to venture ashore to take part in the events and the atmosphere of the Carrington Boating Club. A traditional spit roast and seafood will be on offer with a licenced bar as well as recovery BBQ.

Sunday13th
Recovery BBQ and weigh anchor say farewell and cruise down the river and back to your home port. The lowest bridge height is 11.4 metres at HAT. Radio Channel to be used 72 VHF.
