The LSC Board and Committee cordially invite you to honour our veterans, past and present with the Stradbroke RSL on Thursday 25 April 2024.
Our Club began as a Volunteer Coastal Patrol and a Naval Auxiliary Patrol. Members donated their time and boats to patrol and keep Queensland waters safe.
The Stradbroke RSL Sub Branch will conduct the ANZAC Day Service to mark the 109th Anniversary of the Gallipoli landing.
2024 Proceedings: 5:30am – Dawn Service6am to 7am – Gunfire Breakfast at the All-Sport Club (small cost with donations accepted) 10:15am – Marchers assemble at the bottom end of Dunwich School on Welsby St 10:45am – Main march to Cenotaph commences 11:00am – Main Service 12.00pm – All-Sport Club open for refreshments 1:00pm – Enjoy a drink at the LSC Bar (1-4pm) Everyone is invited back to the Little Ship Club for drinks from 1pm. |
When you come back to the Little Ship Club, take a moment to visit our Lone Pine Tree and reflect on those who served and sacrificed for our nation.
Our Lone Pine Tree was propagated from the tree growing at the War Memorial at Canberra which was brought over after WW1 by a Gallipoli veteran. For more information, please email the LSC Secretary, we hope to see you there. Maria Anderson, Commodore |
